Products – noise hoods
A long-time experience and requirements of our customers brought us to the development and production of various noise-damping measures. These noise hoods are used most frequently in industrial environment.
Acoustic noise suppressors – enclosures can be divided into the following categories:
Enclosures for small noise sources
Noise hoods of this range are intended for reducing noise of electric motors, blowers, compressors, mobile power generating units, small machinery and other equipment.
Enclosures for big noise sources
Enclosures for big noise sources are intended for turbines, diesel-generator sets, turbine-generator sets, co-generation units and other large noise sources.
Noise hoods for production lines
Covering of the production line with the noise barrier is an individual solution of protection of operators against excessive noise. Form, design, value of noise suppression and installation of the hood in the production shop are dealt with on the basis of the specific needs of the customer.
Noise shields, screens and barriers
Noise shields are used in industry in the cases when, from technological reasons, neither a totally closed enclosure nor a semi-closed one can be used. These acoustic measures serve for shielding the environment from noise sources.
Atypical noise hoods
Atypical noise hoods have unusual shaping arrangement, they are so-called “hoods made-to-measure”.
They are intended for being built into segmented spaces where standard noise hoods cannot be used.

Noise is every unwanted sound that is disturbing or troublesome or that affects adversely human health. Negative effects of noise on human health are partly specific ones, presented by disorders of the function of acoustic analyzer, partly non-specific ones (extra hearing), when functions of various systems of the organism are affected. These non-specific system effects appear almost in the whole range of noise intensities, frequently they are accompanied by stress reaction and impact on neurohumoral a neurovegetative regulation, biochemical reactions, sleep, higher nervous functions, such as learning and memory, impact on sensory motoric functions and coordination.

The article describes the design, calculation and test results noise attenuation of the noise hood for large industrial compressors driven by electric motors. Predicted noise attenuation (software UTLUM) has been validated by practical measurements at the customer¢s place.
